They meet once a month for a general meeting and social program in the Parish Center. They also sponsor an Annual Luncheon that is always much anticipated by the entire church community!

Senior’s Group (New Horizons):

Come join a lovely group of seniors in activities and functions designed to have fun and get more out of life.

Ushers:

Ushers perform a very valuable function at all of our Masses. They provide good order in the church by arranging the collections, organizing the distribution of Communion, and tidying up the church at the completion of each service. We encourage all men and women of the parish to consider joining this important ministry!

Eucharistc Ministers:

Selected with special Pastoral concern, this ministry serves at every Parish Liturgy as well as visiting the sick and home bound. Reverence for the Blessed Sacrament as well as knowledge of Catholic Doctrine and active involvement in the Parish Community are required for this ministry. Candidates will be interviewed and selected by the Pastor.

Lectors:

The lector’s main function is to proclaim the message of the Old and New Testament readings to the assembly at mass. This task requires a decent knowledge of the scriptures and minimal public speaking skills.

If you meet these requirements we encourage you to volunteer.

Men’s Club:

The members of the St. Ambrose men’s club are a great bunch of guys! They work quietly and often behind the scenes performing many important tasks. They take on many maintenance projects that help with the upkeep of the parish. They also provide breakfast for the entire parish one Sunday morning every month during the season. Their assistance to the Carnival has been one of the reasons it is such a huge success every year. Why don’t you become a member of this great group!

Meets the 1st Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM in the 2nd floor Parish Center.  All men are invited to attend.

These individuals minister to the needs of the disabled, elderly and needy family’s of our parish community. It may involve driving someone to church or shopping, or relieving a primary care giver. Our goal is to respond to those people who are not covered or included in other ministries.

Religious Education:

An integral part of our parish community is the Religious Education of our young people. Our program includes children from kindergarten thru eighth grades. Many volunteers are always needed in a wide variety of capacities. Why don’t you consider passing on the gift of your faith to our future generations.

Religious Gift Shop:

Volunteers are always needed to work in this store  which is located in the Parish Center. It is opened before and after masses as well as during some weekdays.

Carnival:

Our Parish Carnival is our largest fund raising activity that benefits our school children. It is a terrific weekend for our entire parish community and affords you the opportunity to meet other parish family members and become a more integral part of the community.

Altar Servers:

We are thankful to our many fine young people who volunteer as altar servers. Both boys and girls who have made their First Communion may join this ministry.

Parish Ministries

St. Ambrose is proud to be a Stewardship Parish. This means that we encourage each of our parishioners to contribute to the community life of the parish in three areas. God has gifted each one of us with qualities that can help build the Body of Christ, (the Church) to become all that Christ intended it to be. We would hope each parishioner would use their time, their talents, and their treasure to not only build up St. Ambrose, but also to  help deepen their own spiritual lives and the spiritual lives of others.

Below is a list of Ministries in which many parishioners serve.

After reading through them, please feel free to contact the rectory office to discover how you might become involved in one or more of our ministries.
